The Neretvica River is the right tributary of the Neretva River and springs not far from the top of Vitreu\u0161a (Zec Mountain) at 1510 meters above sea level. Downstream from Buturovi\u0107 Polje settlement, it flows into Jablanica Lake.<\/p>\n

The total length of the Neretvica River from the source to the confluence is 27 km. Washed by a dozen of its tributaries, nestled in the green of the mountain landscape, among the natural tourist heritage, stands out with its beauty.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][gt3_spacing height=”17px”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1688559357373{margin-bottom: 32px !important;}”]\n

This river carries clean and crystal clear water from the high mountain foothills, which is why it is considered an important natural source of drinking water. Along with its tributaries, Neretvica is excellent for fishing and aquaculture. Neretvica is home to numerous species of fish, primarily the indigenous species, brown trout. Among the rich fauna of Neretvica, the white-legged crayfish (Austropotamobius pallipes) stands out and is included in the IUCN Red List of endangered plant and animal species. Crabs are quite sensitive to any kind of pollution, so they are an excellent indicator of the cleanliness of Neretvica, considering that this is their habitat.<\/p>\n

The abyss of the river Neretvica is located on the western slopes of Bitovinja. The sinking water later appears as a waterfall named Tuhelj<\/u><\/strong> and flows into the Neretvica at the turn for the village of Gornji \u010ca\u017eanj. Buk under Baglavnica<\/span><\/u><\/strong> represents another oasis of peace, which leaves no one indifferent. Hidden in a dense forest, it is an ideal place to pamper your body and soul. Buk is located just a few meters from the road that connects Buturovi\u0107-Polje and Parsovi\u0107i, between the Pasjak and Otele\u0161ki Vijer natural pools.<\/p>\n

The most important tributary of the Neretvica is the Plavu\u0161in potok<\/span>, a river created from several small springs, and its most valuable jewel is the Crni Vir waterfall<\/span><\/u><\/strong>, which also represents the mouth of this river into the Neretvica. Hidden between several high rocks, this waterfall is a true pearl of nature and is ideal for refreshment on hot summer days.<\/p>\n

There are approximately 15 bathing areas on the Neretvica River that leave no one indifferent, and the bathing areas “Ahmed Hondo – \u0160ljev\u010dica”, “Pasjak”, “Buk” and “Luk\u0161ijski Most” are just some of them. The \u201ePasjak\u201c natural pool<\/span><\/u><\/strong> stands out because there is a zip line nearby, one of the biggest attractions on Neretvica. You can jump into the crystal clear river, from the zip line, or descend over the bathing area itself, which is perfect for those who want a dose of adrenaline. Because of the calm water, it is an ideal place for all generations, especially children. Fun in the sand, diverse river stones are a paradise for the youngest.<\/p>\n

The \u201eBuk\u201c natural pool<\/span><\/u><\/strong> is also interesting because, at the very beginning, there is a wild rapid, after which the natural pool got its name. Also, an indispensable part is the rock jumps, which are an extra reason to visit this very pearl of Neretvica.<\/p>\n
