From May 30 to June 1, 2025, the city will become a hub of women\u2019s activism and creativity as it hosts the fourth edition of the Festival of Women\u2019s Activism and Creativity \u2013 <em data-start=\"268\" data-end=\"284\">Planeta \u017deNERA<\/em>. <\/strong><strong data-start=\"289\" data-end=\"460\">Elvedina Dina Ali\u0107, president of the Women\u2019s Association \u201cNera\u201d from Konjic, announced a rich and dynamic program, promising the biggest and most vibrant festival yet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"radio-3872164368\" class=\"radio-content\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"radio-4404624\" class=\"radio-content_2\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"radio-1814006768\" class=\"radio-content_2\"><\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"380\">&#8220;The festival, which was postponed last year due to flooding, is coming back stronger than ever. With twice as many participants and a significantly increased budget, the organization is highly demanding and will take place across three different locations. I believe this will be the biggest <em data-start=\"337\" data-end=\"345\">\u017deNERA<\/em> so far, with the widest impact,&#8221;<\/strong> emphasized Dina Ali\u0107.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"209\"><strong data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"209\">This year\u2019s edition is supported by strong international organizations such as the IOM, the Ecumenical Women\u2019s Initiative from Omi\u0161, and the Global Fund for Women.<\/strong><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"413\"><strong data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"413\">The festival will open on Friday, May 30, at 6:00 PM at the Cinema Hall of the National University in Konjic, with the play <em data-start=\"168\" data-end=\"196\">\u201cActivism Under the Stars\u201d<\/em> performed by the Dignitet Association from Mostar. Admission to the play is free, and after the performance, a <em data-start=\"308\" data-end=\"338\">Dinner for One Hundred Women<\/em> and an official awards ceremony will be held at the City Caf\u00e9 in Konjic.<\/strong><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"402\"><strong data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"402\">\u201cThe <em data-start=\"49\" data-end=\"61\">Super Nera<\/em> Award this year will be presented to Amra Gaki\u0107. Special recognition will also be given to women from other towns who made a tremendous contribution in supporting women from flood-affected areas. These include Biljana Gavran (Fojnica), Dr. Alma Budim-Hondo (Jablanica), and the Croatian Cultural and Artistic Society Gromiljak (Kiseljak). <\/strong><strong data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"737\">The Women\u2019s Association \u2018Nera\u2019 will also present the <em data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"481\">Solidarity in Action<\/em> award to Aj\u0161a \u0160olji\u0107 for her initiative to protect cemeteries in the flooded areas. The traditional <em data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"604\">Solidarity in Action<\/em> award, given annually by the \u2018Nera\u2019 Association, will remain a surprise and will be announced during the official award ceremony,\u201d<\/strong> said Ali\u0107.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;3&#8243; images=&#8221;21406&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"306\"><strong data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"290\">On the second and third day of the festival, activists will spend time in nature, with a focus on returning to \u201cauthentic communication without technological aids.\u201d On Saturday, a rich program will take place at the Visit Konjic Outdoor Resort,<\/strong> explained Ali\u0107.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"533\"><strong data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"533\">&#8220;On Saturday, activists can look forward to the following program: outdoor activities and socializing in nature, including the opportunity for women to climb the via ferrata with support from the Konjic Mountain Rescue Service. There will be a panel discussion on women\u2019s mental health during the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a tour of Tito\u2019s Bunker, and a screening of the film <em data-start=\"428\" data-end=\"449\">&#8216;Kitchens and Wars&#8217;<\/em> by Bojana Minovi\u0107 from Serbia, which portrays women\u2019s resilience after disasters. <\/strong><strong data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"926\">The day will also feature the performance <em data-start=\"579\" data-end=\"613\">&#8216;Coffee with Anti-Fascist Women&#8217;<\/em> by Maja Vasi\u0107, a prominent activist from Novi Sad; <em data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"682\">&#8216;Story Circles&#8217;<\/em>, safe spaces for informal conversation and experience-sharing among activists, aimed at strengthening the women\u2019s movement; and an evening program around the campfire with poetry readings and a performance by singer-songwriter Alma Abdagi\u0107.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p data-start=\"43\" data-end=\"90\"><strong data-start=\"43\" data-end=\"78\">\u201cSunday is reserved for Blace,\u201d<\/strong> Ali\u0107 added.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p data-start=\"48\" data-end=\"404\"><strong data-start=\"48\" data-end=\"404\">\u201cAfter a morning \u2018laughter therapy\u2019 session with Senka and Nina, a safari jeep tour to Blace will follow for a group of 60 people. An organized picnic in nature will take place, along with the presentation of the book <em data-start=\"268\" data-end=\"293\">\u2018Feminism Through Time\u2019<\/em> by Jadranka Mili\u010devi\u0107, the most renowned Bosnian-Herzegovinian activist. The festival will close at 6:00 PM. <\/strong><strong data-start=\"406\" data-end=\"626\">This year\u2019s festival slogan, <em data-start=\"437\" data-end=\"453\">\u2018We Are Ours,\u2019<\/em> perfectly reflects its focus on solidarity. The festival covers travel expenses for all participants and represents a blend of activism, culture, health, and solidarity,\u201d<\/strong> said Elvedina Dina Ali\u0107, president of the Women\u2019s Association \u2018Nera\u2019 Konjic.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"368\"><strong data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"368\">This year\u2019s <em data-start=\"56\" data-end=\"72\">Planeta \u017deNERA<\/em> Festival will host women from the Netherlands, Serbia, Montenegro, and across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
