The fourth edition of the Habitat Culture Fest, a festival that celebrates the cultural diversity of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the context of European and global heritage, will open on Saturday, July 5th, at Bora\u010dko Lake.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Festival, koji se odr\u017eava na vi\u0161e lokacija oko Bora\u010dkog jezera, nastao je iz inicijative ljubitelja umjetnosti i kulture, Elmira i Goranke Prevljak, s ciljem povezivanja kreativaca iz zemlje i inostranstva kroz izlo\u017ebe, radionice, filmske ve\u010derii razgovore s autorima.<\/p>\n

Elmir Prevljak, speaking on behalf of the organizer Hercegovina Lodges, said that on the first day of this year’s festival, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the promotion of the novel Sandro<\/em> by Elvedin Nezirovi\u0107, one of the most widely read authors in the region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“On Saturday, July 5th at 8 PM, at the hearth of Hercegovina Lodges at Bora\u010dko Lake, we will host Elvedin Nezirovi\u0107, with Adnan Repe\u0161a, also a writer from Mostar, as the moderator,” said Prevljak.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t have a fixed budget\u2014this is truly 100% volunteer-based,\u201d said Prevljak. \u201cI completely understand the artists and writers who make a living from their intellectual work, and of course it makes sense that they would go where there are honorariums and better conditions. What we offer is a great audience, a beautiful atmosphere at Bora\u010dko Lake, and some basic essentials. Believe me, out of all the artists we’ve contacted so far, only a few have declined for that reason. Most are happy to take part, which shows that the atmosphere during the Habitat Culture Fest is genuinely positive,\u201d Prevljak said, speaking about how finances don\u2019t always have to play the key role in organizing events.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re opening the festival with Elvedin Nezirovi\u0107, and we\u2019ve arranged a presentation of the book Deliver Us from Evil<\/em> by Dr. Marko Romi\u0107, which addresses the issue of gambling in Bosnia and Herzegovina,\u201d Prevljak added, announcing the upcoming events during the festival. \u201cOn the same day, there will be a screening of a film on a similar topic, directed by Bosnian-Dutch filmmaker Sergej Kreso, followed by a discussion. We\u2019ve also scheduled a promotion of The Book About Almir<\/em>, an excellent work by our own Adisa Ba\u0161i\u0107, a guest appearance by poet \u0160aban \u0160arenkapi\u0107 from Novi Pazar, and a photo exhibition by Hadis Meden\u010devi\u0107 from Prague.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Habitat Culture Fest has become a meeting place for people who wish to nurture the diversity of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an equal part of the European cultural scene. The program of other events within the festival, which will run throughout the summer until the end of August, will be announced periodically through social media.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
