In Konjic, the Francophonie Days were officially opened tonight, marking the first time this town has become part of the major international celebration of the French language, culture, and arts.

The program began with a performance of the play \u201cEight Women\u201d<\/em> by Robert Thomas, directed by Inas Ga\u010danin, and performed by the Youth Stage of the Amateur Theatre \u201cNeretva\u201d<\/em> in Konjic. The play was staged in the cinema hall of the Community Center in Konjic, where the audience had the opportunity to enjoy an intriguing and suspenseful story set within an enclosed family space, filled with secrets, doubts, and unexpected twists.

After the play, an exhibition titled \u201cFrench Cinema Through Posters\u201d<\/em> was held at the Gallery of the Public Institution \u201cNarodni univerzitet\u201d<\/em> in Konjic, based on archival materials from the cinema. This exhibition provided a unique insight into the rich history of French filmmaking and its visual identity.

The event was officially opened by the director of the French Institute, Loe Lagrange, with speeches by the president of the Amateur Theatre \u201cNeretva\u201d<\/em> Konjic, Ena Osmanovi\u0107, and the director of the Public Institution \u201cNarodni univerzitet\u201d<\/em> Konjic, Benjamin Mu\u0161inovi\u0107, who emphasized the importance of such events for the cultural development of the local community and the strengthening of international cooperation.

The Francophonie Days in Konjic continue with a film program aimed at primary and secondary school students in Konjic, further encouraging young people\u2019s interest in the French language and cultur<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Amateur Theatre \u201cNeretva\u201d<\/em> Konjic and the Public Institution \u201cNarodni univerzitet\u201d<\/em> Konjic, in collaboration with the French Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina, are organizing the celebration of Francophonie Days in Konjic from March 27 to April 1, 2026.
