As part of the ”Konjic Sustainable Tourist Destination” project, financed by the City of Konjic and the Swiss non-governmental organization CARITAS, a study visit to the Soča Valley (Bovec, Kobarid, and Tolmin) in Slovenia was organized from September 23rd to 25th, 2024.
A study trip to the Soča Valley
The trip was organized for representatives of the tourist cluster engaged in providing rafting services, representatives of the City Administration, and the ”PRVI KORAK Ltd” Konjic, in order to gain insight into the functioning of the rafting management model on the Soča River.
The project aims to contribute to a better understanding of the principles of sustainable development, strengthen the coordination mechanism, create conditions for improving services in the tourism sector, and promote Konjic as a desirable tourist destination. This aligns with Strategic Goal 2: ‘A competitive tourist destination with recognizable tourist content,’ as defined in the Integral Development Strategy of the Municipality of Konjic for the period 2018-2027.
