Konjic Woodcarving is an artistic craft with a tradition of longer than a century. Woodcarving has become
an integral part of the culture of the local community, a symbol of the beauty and comfort of domestic interiors.

An integral part of our culture
Numerous awards at exhibitions and fairs are multiplied every year and complete the already existing ones. These unique artists called woodcarvers whose products have special ”Bosnian pattern” imprinted on them, were honored by being included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2017.
This was the motive for the Nikšić family to, in addition to the existing Mulić record, which dates back to 1924, open a unique Museum of Woodcarving, in which everything important and specific to this autochthonous art is collected.
By becoming included on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the traditional craft of Konjic woodcarving has been given the role of a link in an inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue.
