As part of the “Konjic Summer” event and the Diaspora Days “Konjic in the Heart of BiH,” the 25th Konjička Sehara, an international festival of folklore creativity and one of the most visited events in Konjic, was held before a full audience at the Partizanovo Business and Sports Center.

Konjička Sehara: 25 Years of Tradition, Encounters, and Folklore Splendor
With dances, songs, and costumes from different parts of the world, the jubilee “Konjička Sehara” brought together hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators – celebrating a tradition that bridges generations and cultures.
This jubilee gathering brought together cultural and artistic societies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as guests from Turkey, Albania, Poland, Romania, Croatia, and Northern Cyprus, who treated the audience to an evening rich in traditional dances, music, and the vibrant colors of their cultures.
At the very start of the program, following the parade through the town and the ceremonial review, the hosts from the Bosniak Cultural Community “Preporod” Konjic welcomed the attendees. They have been organizing this festival for 25 years under the patronage of the City of Konjic, with the support of the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, the HNC Tourist Board, and the event’s partner – Sparkasse Bank.
The program opened with performances by the youngest members of “Preporod,” symbolically showing that cultural heritage is being passed on to new generations. Throughout the evening, ensembles from various parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Donji Vakuf, Visoko, Hadžići, Jablanica, Tuzla, Sarajevo, Mostar, Kiseljak, Gornji Vakuf, and Podveležje – took turns on stage, along with international guests who arrived in Konjic from Łęczyca, Ankara, Durrës, Nedelišće, as well as from Romania and Northern Cyprus.
In addition to the folklore performances, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the musical part of the program with young Konjic native Ajdin Sultić, who performed a traditional sevdalinka.
Konjička Sehara is not just a folklore festival, but a symbol of unity, connection, and cultural exchange.
The organizers expressed special thanks to Mayor Osman Ćatić, the City of Konjic, the cantonal authorities, and the partners who continuously support this and other cultural events, making Konjic a hub of cultural activities in the region.
At the end of the evening, with a message of gratitude to all guests and visitors, the next event as part of “Konjic Summer” was announced – a concert by Adi Šoša, which will be held on Saturday, August 9, on the plaza in front of the High School.
