Minister Pozder Signs Agreements for Capital Transfers
Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism, Nasiha Pozder, today signed agreements with beneficiaries who successfully applied to the public call of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism for co-financing projects titled “Capital Transfers to Other Levels of Government and Funds – Tourism Development Transfers in the Federation of BiH” for 2025.
“Through these projects, we aim to promote tourism development that is sustainable and authentic. Our goal is for every tourist destination in the Federation of BiH to have the opportunity to contribute to economic growth through quality infrastructure and the preservation of natural and cultural values. I am especially pleased that, in this way, we will support the development of specific forms of tourism, including religious and adventure tourism, as well as projects aimed at reducing seasonality and promoting our cultural, historical, and natural heritage,” said Minister Pozder.
For the Program for Co-Financing Infrastructure and Specific Tourism Development Projects, Minister Pozder today signed agreements with Hercegovačko Selo Čitluk for the project “Square of Experiences and Encounters”, Čajuša d.o.o. Kupres for the construction of a four-seater chairlift to overcome seasonality, and PBP Konjic for the development of winter tourism infrastructure on Jelica Mountain near Konjic. An agreement was also signed with the Franciscan Theology in Sarajevo for a project to build infrastructure at St. Paul’s Monastery to support the development of religious tourism.
As part of the Program for Co-Financing Projects Aimed at Sustainable Tourism Development in destinations of broader cultural, historical, and natural significance, agreements were signed for the reconstruction of picnic furniture in the Protected Landscape Konjuh, a project by the Konjic Economic Development Agency focusing on the renovation of the flooring and visual lighting communication in the Titov Bunker Museum, and a project by the Visoko Heritage Museum for the preparation of project documentation aimed at the revitalization of the medieval Čajangrad fortress.
Under the Program for Co-Financing Projects for the Acquisition of Equipment to Promote Specific Forms of Tourism, agreements were signed for the Sarajevo Ćiro Trail project by the Vučko Sarajevo Tourist Guides Association, for the Herzegovina Bike Association, which is implementing a project for the sustainable development of cycling tourism through ecosystem protection, and for the Neretva Raft-Boys Tourist Association for rafting development. An agreement was also signed with Art Servis Sarajevo for the procurement of part of the cinema-technical equipment needed to screen programs from the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival in cities and municipalities across the Federation of BiH.
We recall that Minister Pozder last week signed agreements with mayors, municipal chiefs, and local community representatives for the same programs, with the total funds for capital tourism development projects for 2025 amounting to 1,500,000 BAM.
The Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism will continue in the coming days with signing agreements with other beneficiaries, as well as for programs related to ongoing transfers for tourism development, the ministry announced.
