Last night, in the courtyard of Zulfikar Zuka Džumhur’s birth house in Konjic, Alma Subašić held a concert, where she presented songs from the new album “Sevdah del Alma”.
Lovers of sevdah enjoyed listening to sevdalinka in Alma’s performance, accompanied by Mirza Redžepagić on guitar.
At the first joint performance, the two artists showed their virtuosity, which the audience rewarded with applause and choral singing.
“The concert was wonderful, I am very satisfied and I think everyone was satisfied. I had nice compliments and I’m happy. This with Mirza was a complete hit. I really fed my soul in my Konjic” – Alma said after the concert.
“On the new album “Sevdah del Alma”, translated as “sevdah from the soul”, there are ten sevdalinka songs that we have chosen in such a way that they are songs that are not performed enough nowadays and with new arrangements we revive them and return them to radio and TV stations, by screening videos, and I’m happy that the first concert promotion is in Konjic” – said Alma, who was born in Konjic.
“From this house, from this environment, I feel that some new stories are being born with Alma and Mirza in the future” – said Benjamin Mušinović, director of the National University of Konjic, which was the organizer of the “Sevdah Fest” concert as part of the Konjic summer, and under sponsored by the City of Konjic.
