The concert was a side event of the 12th Festival of Actors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was opened in Konjic on May 5th with the play “Ne daj se generacijo” by the Youth Theatre Sarajevo, and will conclude on June 4th with the awarding of prizes to the best actors.

Performing for the second time at the Festival of Actors of BiH in Konjic, Amira Medunjanin delighted the audience with her interpretation. The sevdah diva, accompanied by top musicians, performed not only traditional sevdalinkas but also original compositions written for her, as well as popular rock melodies and evergreen hits. The people of Konjic enjoyed the concert, singing along with her in chorus, and rewarded her with a thunderous round of applause at the end of the performance.

“This is my great Bosnian-Herzegovinian musical story, and I’m immensely looking forward to it. We will sing what our hearts know, all across our beautiful Bosnia and Herzegovina, and bow to the audience with full hearts and lots of love,” said Amira Medunjanin, who expressed how incredibly happy she was to perform once again among her fellow people of Konjic, especially since her father is originally from Glavatičevo, near Konjic.

Tonight, the festival program continues with the comedy “Suparnice”, performed by the Lectirum Theatre from Zagreb, starring Ksenija Pajić, Mladen Čutura, and Natalija Đorđević.

The play was written by Marijana Nola and directed by Saša Broz. It will be performed in the cinema hall of the Konjic National University, starting at 7:30 p.m.
