AP “Neretva” Konjic: Final Selection of the 24th FSDS of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Konjic

10/04/2026by Welcome to Konjic0 comments

Next week marks the beginning of the 24th Festival of Secondary School Dramatic Creativity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is an event that has been bringing together young theatre creators from across the country for more than two decades. Organized by the Amateur Theatre “Neretva” Konjic, the Festival continues year after year to affirm its importance as a platform for developing young talent and nurturing the art of theatre.

During the Festival, AP “Neretva” and the town of Konjic become a place of meeting, dialogue, and gathering for young people from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Festival provides young artists with the opportunity to present their work, meet their peers, exchange ideas, build new friendships, and, through art, speak about contemporary themes, challenges, and the world around them. It is precisely this encounter of young people—their perspectives and energy—that makes the Festival a unique and invaluable experience for all participants and audiences alike. In this way, AP “Neretva” becomes more than just a host; it transforms into a space where new stories, inspirations, collaborations, and friendships are created—ones that go beyond the stage.

This year’s festival program offers a diverse selection of performances resulting from the dedicated work of drama groups and their mentors. The audience can look forward to a total of 13 plays, with participants coming from Bijeljina, Živinice, Derventa, Livno, Bugojno, Kakanj, Zavidovići, Sarajevo, Tešanj, Tuzla, Žepče, and Konjic.

The selection of performances for this year’s edition of the Festival is curated by Armin Filipović, Master of Arts and actor, a former member of the Festival’s expert jury, workshop leader, and ensemble member of the National Theatre Mostar.

After careful consideration of the submitted applications, the following performances have been selected for the program of the 24th Festival of Secondary School Dramatic Creativity of Bosnia and Herzegovina:

1. „Kad smo bili u našim godinama“ – Tetar Mladih BN

2. „Romeo i Julija“ – UG Aplauz Živinice

3. „ Igralište snova“- CZK Teatar Derventa

4. „Hasanaginica“ – Gimnazija Livno

5. „ Niz“- BKC Živinice

6. „Oliver Twist“ – Tetar Fedra, Bugojno

7. „ Otuđeni“ – JU KSC Kakanj

8. „Put koji me vratio kući“ – Gimnazija “Rizah Odžekić” Zavidovići

9. „U zemlji certifikata i diploma“ – JU Prva gimnazija Sarajevo

10. „Kad se opanak popauči“ – Gimnazija “Musa Ćazim Ćatić” Tešanj

11.“Vjeruj mi“ – KŠC Sv. Franjo Tuzla

12. „Epitaf“ – Dom kulture Žepče

13. „Osam žena“ – AP Neretva, Konjic

The Festival will be held from April 17 to 24, and the official program will be announced in the coming days. The best performances will be decided by an expert jury composed of Damir Kustura, Saša Peševski, and Emina Šehić—distinguished theatre professionals who will, through workshops and roundtable discussions, contribute with their knowledge and experience to the evaluation and appreciation of the work of young artists.
