The novelty this year is that the regatta was not of a competitive nature, so all participants were given the opportunity to show who enjoys rafting on Neretva the most, said Samra Čomor Bekirović from the Association “Green River” Konjic, which is the organizer of the media gathering.

“In addition, we organized the night rafting for the first time. Since the European Rafting Championship was recently held on the Neretva, we used a part of the championship section, and on Saturday at 11 pm we organized a night descent, which some participants enjoyed, downstream from village Džajići. This year, we did not separate the media in the boats, so it was a mini team building within a big team building, where different media have the opportunity to meet, socialize and possibly establish cooperation” – said Samra, stating that she is looking forward to the jubilee , 10th Neretva MEDIA Regatta.

“We are glad to unite the media from both entities as we know no borders, and we hope that next year we will have a regional character because we believe this should come to life. We have three navigable rivers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and I consider the Neretva the most beautiful one to enjoy. Neretva is something special not only for Konjic but also for the country and the region, and I would invite everyone to come and see not only what Neretva has but what Konjic has,” said Samra.

Hajrudin Porić from Travnik attended with his colleagues from TV Kanal 6 and TNT Radio.

“I don’t think I’ve missed a single regatta. Night rafting was interesting this year, and I think we will do it next year as well. Neretva is great, like every year” – said Hajrudin.

The BHRT team participated in the MEDIA Regatta. This was the second participation for Vedran Prodić, journalist of BH Radio 1.

“We went for the first time last year, we wanted to try something new and we enjoyed it, and we also visited Tito’s bunker. This year we are rafting again, to enjoy the Neretva, but also to socialize. This year there was a larger team, and there will be a nice reportage in our program” – Vedran told us.

Regatta participants will publish content in their media about the attractions of the Neretva.

The 9th Neretva MEDIA Regatta was held as part of Days of Konjic City with the support of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
