The 6th “Konjic Summer Fest” will be held in Konjic from July 5th to 7th, organized by the “Pace” Konjic Athletic Club, under the auspices of the City of Konjic. Six races will be held, for which about 1,000 participants have registered, said Mahir Mujić, director of “Konjic Summer Fest”.
Tomorrow starts Konjic Summer Fest
“Besides the Bingo Konjic fair and the traditional children’s race, we have a business race on Friday at 6:30 p.m. that gathers around 250 participants, that is, 28 companies. After that we have Lana Hamza’s concert in Garden City. Entrance is completely free and I invite all our citizens to come and have some fun and feel the charm of the festival. On Saturday at 11:00 a.m. we have the “GRAWE Kids Run”, a race for 200 little ones that is already full and starts from the City Market in Konjic. The central part of the event is at 7:30 p.m., where we have the “Konjic Bingo Race” and the “Ibis Relay Race”, a men’s and women’s relay race and, for the first time in Konjic, the 10.000-meter state championship, where we have 20 of the best athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina who will to fight for the national champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this discipline. After that we have a performance by Emir Lapsus at the outdoor pool in Garden City. On Sunday, we are waiting for a crawl at 6:30 p.m., and 15 babies will fight for the best crawling baby in Konjic”, – stated Mujić.
According to Mujić, the Konjic Summer Fest will also gather numerous participants from the entire region this year.
“I can say that companies from the “TOP 100″ are coming to us, which we will present in the parade at 05:45 p.m. Then we have 400 participants in the cener, 100 participants in the relay, 250 participants in the business race, 200 participants in the children’s race, 15 babies at the puziada and 20 participants at the national championship. The city of Konjic is the sponsor and I can say that I am proud of all the public institutions that supported us and I must mention our project friends who come from Dubrovnik, Serbia and Sarajevo to volunteer novelty, which is that we have provided a bus that goes from Sarajevo to Konjic on Saturday completely free, and then returns the runners to Sarajevo, and we plan to introduce this into the tradition discounts in the city of Konjic.We also introduced a novelty with accreditations, where we gave all participants in big races additional discounts in the city of Konjic”.
Mujić called on his fellow citizens to be patient and cooperate due to the short-term stoppage of traffic during the races, wishing that we would show ourselves as good hosts and accompany and support this project in as many numbers as possible.
This year, you can expect novelties at the Konjic Summer Fest, namely:
- Accreditations have been introduced that are valid for all days of the festival (05-07.07/2024). With accreditation, participants will be able to use additional discounts at local partners.
- Free transportation to the top racing event – Konjic Summer Fest, in cooperation with the company Konjic Trans Ltd., is provided. The bus leaves on Saturday, July 6, in front of the National Museum at 2:00 p.m., stopping at the Otoka bus station and the Stup bus station. The return is scheduled around 22:00.
