In Konjic, from 29.8. until 30.09.2024. will hold the 11th BiH Actors Festival, and the Festival will take place on August 29. be opened with the play “Gideon’s Knot” performed by Scene Mess, Youth Theater and Association Intermezzo, and directed by Selma Alispahić, starting at 8:00 PM in the Cinema Hall of the National University of Konjic.

This year, the Actors Festival also brings a cross-section of the best editions of theater productions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the wish of the organizers, the National University of Konjic, is that in the coming years, it will become an even bigger platform with a much more intense exchange of artists and their achievements.

Mušinović pointed out that the exchange of experiences with actors and actresses, the most important theater productions, greatly strengthens and promotes Konjic.

– Our effort this year will be to give visitors who enjoy rafting, a visit to Tito’s bunker, the Heritage Museum with the birthplace of Zuka Džumhur, the UNESCO Museum of Wood Carving, the BiH Actor’s Festival more reason for an extended stay in Konjic – he pointed out.

He added that the Festival traditionally relies on its sponsors.

– I would especially like to emphasize the continuous support of the City of Konjic, the line ministries for culture at the cantonal and federal level, and above all the friendly affection and cooperation with the leading theater companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and colleagues from the region, who have been witnessing our kindness, hospitality and greatest desire for eleven years for Konjic to become a “theatre city” – emphasizes Mušinović.

In the following days, the performance of the Croatian National Theater in Mostar “Women’s Conversations±1”, the comedy “The Impostor” (Tartuffe) by the ensemble of the National Theater Tuzla, and the performance “Orphan” by the Bosnian National Theater Zenica will follow.

The festival will also host the Mostar National Theater with the play “Perzeide”, the Sarajevo Youth Theater with the comedy “The Fool’s Evening”, the ensemble of the Sarajevo War Theater – SARTR, which will present the play “My Son Walks a Little Slower” and the Banja Luka Student Theater with the play “After the Play “.

– In the off content, through the “Culture of memory” program, we will prepare content dedicated to Zlatko Đikić, present the exhibition “creAction” by Amer Tikveša and Robert Oroz, and delight all young theater lovers with the play “On Tenderness” directed by Ines Pašić and produced by the Puppet Theater in Mostar – says the director of the Festival.

With the concert program “Laka & band” on the Big Stage of the National University in Konjic on Monday, September 30, the eleventh Actor’s festival of BiH will be officially closed.

This year, the festival awards are awarded by a unique jury – the audience, and special wooden masks are prepared for the laureates by the proud owners of the UNESCO “Konjic Wood Carvers” award.
