A record number of exhibitors at the jubilee 15th “Konjic Food Fest

08/10/2025by Welcome to Konjic0 comments

At the SRC “Partizanovo,” 116 exhibitors from Konjic and numerous cities across Bosnia and Herzegovina will gather tomorrow. Visitors can expect a rich and diverse offering.

On the eve of the jubilee 15th Konjic Food Fest, which will be held tomorrow, October 9, at the “Partizanovo” Sports and Recreation Center, we spoke with Alma Huseinbegović Radmanić, Director of the Union of Agricultural Associations of Konjic. This year’s edition has recorded a record number of registered participants, and interest, as the Director notes, was exceptionally high from the very first day applications opened.

“The fair will open at 7:00 a.m. for exhibitors so they can set up their stands. From 9:00 a.m., the fair will be open to visitors, while the official opening of the festival is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. We are expecting 116 exhibitors at 111 tables. There will, of course, be our local producers from Konjic, as well as exhibitors from Gradiška, Kakanj, Kozarac, Mostar, Prozor, Jablanica, Visoko, Bihać, Gračanica, and others. We have a large number of registered crafts, women’s associations, and individual agricultural producers who have registered farms,” Huseinbegović Radmanić stated.

In addition to a rich selection of domestic products, visitors will once again be able to enjoy gastronomic specialties prepared by students of the hospitality school, who on this occasion will be cooking for pleasure, without competitive pressure.

“We have one surprise that we will leave for the fair day itself, and what I can also highlight are three valuable awards that have already become traditional. These are the awards for the best-decorated stand, the best offer at a stand, and the best-packaged product. Students of the Konjic Secondary Hospitality School will not be under any stress test; instead, they will be cooking traditional Bosnian food purely for enjoyment, which both exhibitors and visitors will be able to taste,” the Director of the Union emphasized.

The festival also has an important economic dimension, as it represents a platform for business networking and for strengthening agricultural production and the local economy.

“Strengthening agricultural production is our primary goal. Our producers need to focus more on processing, because production alone is not financially sufficient for their survival. We have also had situations where we connected our agricultural producers with hospitality and tourism facilities, and through this cooperation both sides were extremely satisfied,” Huseinbegović Radmanić added.

This year’s Konjic Food Fest is organized under the patronage of the City of Konjic, and a rich and engaging program is expected, bringing together a large number of visitors and lovers of local food.
