Konjic: The 13th Bosnia and Herzegovina Actors’ Festival has opened

Tonight in Konjic, the 13th Bosnia and Herzegovina Actors’ Festival was ceremoniously opened. The organizer is the Public Institution Народни univerzitet Konjic, with the general patronage of the City of Konjic.

The festival was opened on behalf of the City of Konjic and Mayor Osman Ćatić by Kenan Greda, President of the Konjic City Council.

“This year, for the 13th time, the City of Konjic is a gathering place for actors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, who will present their new acting achievements over a little more than a month of festival days. The effort invested in launching and developing the Bosnia and Herzegovina Actors’ Festival in Konjic is the best proof that, through determination and desire, with the support of the community and all those who value theatrical art, it is possible to create new values and to nurture and educate new generations of theatre enthusiasts,” said President Greda.

“Through the School Theatre, the Festival of Secondary School Dramatic Creativity, and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Actors’ Festival, Konjic becomes a meeting place through culture and art every spring. Therefore, allow me to congratulate the organizer, the Narodni univerzitet Konjic, its management, and everyone who in any way supports these wonderful initiatives, and to wish them much success in the realization of all future activities.”

“The City of Konjic, as the patron of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Actors’ Festival, strives to be a strong supporter of all significant cultural, sports, and other events that position Konjic on the map of regional tourist centers, offering high-quality and engaging content to the people of Konjic, visitors to Konjic, and to Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Kenan Greda, President of the Konjic City Council, in his address while opening the 13th Bosnia and Herzegovina Actors’ Festival.

This year, eight performances are included in the competitive part of the program.
