
Konjic: The “Wings for Life World Run” Race Was Held
Winners: Belma Baralija and Džanan Obuća
Today in Konjic, the humanitarian race Wings for Life World Run was held, gathering 190 runners.
At 1 PM, the race started simultaneously around the world, and Konjic was part of this humanitarian story, with 100% of the funds collected from entry fees and donations going toward research on spinal cord injuries.
The winner in the women’s category was Belma Baralija from Mostar, who ran 27 kilometers. Second place went to Emina Alagić from Sarajevo with 22.41 km, while third place was claimed by Jasenka Ljubović with 21.84 km.

In the men’s category, the fastest runner was Džanan Obuća from Goražde, who ran 38.18 km, which was also the best result of the race in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Second place went to Nihad Efendić from Sarajevo with 33.53 km, while third place was taken by Midhat Purić from Travnik with 32.11 km.

The races were also held today in Tuzla, Mostar, and Tešanj. The total amount of funds raised in races around the world today was 9.2 million euros.
Runners from Konjic also participated, and the best result was achieved by Edis Tabak, who ran 25.50 km.




Mahir Mujić, president of the Athletic Club Pace Konjic, which organized the race in our city, thanked all participants of the race and everyone who helped make the event successfully organized.
