Tonight, the theater audience in Konjic had the opportunity to watch another theatrical production, and this time it was the play “Perzeide” by the National Theater Mostar. The author of the text is Emina Kovačević, and the direction is signed by Karmen Obrdalj. The acting trio of Gordana Boban (Selma), Fatima Kazazić Obad (Lucija) and Saša Oručević (Inspector Asim) brings two parallel stories. The first one tells about two friends, Selma, the owner of a beauty salon, and Lucia, a young lonely woman, who comes to Selma’s salon and unexpectedly becomes close. Selma begins to notice traces of violence in her friend, who, as it turns out later, has an unhappy marriage, but she does not want to admit it. In the second story, we follow Selma’s testimony to Inspector Asim, which gives the audience an inkling of the crime, which is confirmed at the very end.

National Theater Mostar performed a play ,,Perseids”
“Emina Kovačević, in agreement with the director Karmen Obrdalj, wrote a very difficult, painful, beautiful text, if you can say so, about the friendship of two women who came together due to some unfortunate circumstances. I am glad to be a part of this project, which talks about a topic that has been bothering our society a lot lately, femicide. In our own way, we tried to say a word about all that,” said the famous BiH actress Gordana Boban.

For the young actress Fatima Kazazić Obad, the very process of working on the play was challenging, because, she says, she had two serious professional partners, Gordana Boban and Saša Oručević, which represented a challenge for her in terms of acting advancement.
“The very theme and idea of the play, unfortunately, is so ubiquitous in today’s society that every day was so painful for me, which is contradictory because we had a lot of fun during rehearsals while creating the play, but when we gather what it is about what we are putting on stage, how creepy it is, then you wake up with a cramp in your stomach. The topics of violence against women, femicide in particular, have disturbed me before, but through this process, because of the character of Lucia, I had to research more and more thoroughly and come up with some data. My analysis, therefore, does not say that it is 100% correct, statistical data in our country show that every fourth woman suffers some form of violence, whether it is physical or mental, and I need to speak about this topic– Kazazic Obad said.
“I am very glad if the play reaches people because if we change one human destiny, I think we have done a lot. We must know that this play was made before all these unfortunate events that brought femicide into the focus of society, so even before that unfortunate event in Gradačac, we performed the play. I’m not going to say that it’s in vain, but I simply hope that it will change the consciousness of some people, some women, that it will give them the strength to deal with the problems that are very present in our society,” said actor Saša Oručević.

Eleventh Actor’s Festival BiH began tonight with ”Gideon’s knot” play
Tonight, the 11th Festival of BiH Actors started in Konjic, which will last until September 30.
The organizer of the festival is the Konjic National University, under the auspices of the City of Konjic.
The festival started with the play “Gideon’s Knot” directed by Selma Alispahić, who also acted in the play with Helena Vuković. In this play, Gideon’s mother and the teacher open numerous questions about growing up young people, peer violence, education, looking for answers on how to contribute so that life does not become a daily struggle to untangle knots.
Director and actress Selma Alispahić, who has been a participant since the first Actor’s Festival, praised the Actor’s Festival in Konjic and believes that it is a unique festival in our country. After the play, she told radiokonjic.ba that directing this play was guided by the silence that reigns in our society regarding numerous topics that young people in our society face.

“I thought that silence should be broken every day, not only by making plays from time to time. I have been dealing with the topic of peer violence for a long time, and we must not abandon that topic, because it is hot. This play is also an attempt to empower young people who are at the center of the problem, to talk about it, and we help them as much as we can with this play, to tell them that we are here for them” – said Alispahić, adding that this play treats much more subtopic.
"It is a play about freedom of speech, about the right to be different, these are topics that begin and end in the two pillars of every young person's life, which are family and education, where we form a young person the most and where most problems are solved "- said Alispahić.
For a young actress Helena Vuković, working on this play represents a great experience.
“First of all, thanks to the opportunity to play with Selma Alispahić, I think it’s a great honor for every young actor. I had the opportunity to learn from her in the process of our rehearsals, from mini to big tips, and I gladly accepted each one and took it with me and often remember it when I’m doing something else. That is one side, and the other is the text itself, which offers the actor a lot of space to “swim” within himself, but also in his relationship to society, and I think that all together it was fruitful for me, as a young person” – Vuković said, who also participated in the Actor’s Festival as an acting student.

The play “Gideon’s Knot” won the audience award at two international theater festivals, at MESS and the Rijeka International Festival of Small Stages, and tonight’s performance was the 34th rerun. This performance is a co-production project of MESS, the Youth Theater and the Intermezzo association.
The official opening of the XI Festival of Actors of BiH will be held on Monday, September 2, and it will be opened by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Croatian National Academy of Sciences, prof. Ph.D. Adnan Velagić, and on the same evening, the repertoire of the play “Women’s Conversations” performed by the Croatian National Theater Mostar.

Dženan Lončarević held a concert in Konjic
Tonight in Konjic, Dženan Lončarević held a fantastic concert as part of the “Konjic Summer”.
From the moment he stepped on stage, Dženan created a great atmosphere until the end of the concert, so the audience sang along with him the hits of the popular singer, and the repertoire included songs by other singers. Towards the end of the concert, the visitors created a special atmosphere by turning on their cell phones to search for the singer.

Lončarević animated the Konjic audience with his voice, and presented himself as an excellent entertainer, and concert visitors were singing and dancing throughout the concert.
“It was wonderful, in the past two or three years we have been intensively working through Bosnia, and I can freely say that the audience aspires to be the best. The concert in Konjic is similar to Sarajevo’s Skenderija, those kids sang in unison, I don’t know which generation it is, but they know my songs. I’m glad after all these turbulent years, again music lives among us here. We saw that Konjic is a beautiful town in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we will not “miss it” next time we come. Thank you for inviting me to hang out for the first time in this wonderful square, with these wonderful people,” Dženan Lončarević stated for radiokonjic.ba, repeating the message he sent to concertgoers and from the stage, to be happy and healthy and to listen to good music. .
The concert of the regional music star was organized by the National University, and under the auspices of the City of Konjic, as part of the Konjic summer and Konjic Diaspora Day in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Before Dženan Lončarević’s performance, Damir Macić and Ajdin Sultić performed, who premiered the song “City for Everyone”, whose lyrics and music were written by Emir Tucaković from Konjic, and arranged by Vanja Alikadić and Sayid Rezić, which was recorded in the local studio Sejfullah from Konjic.

The event “Evening of bećarac and ganga 2024” was held.
On Saturday in Parsovići, as part of the “Day of Neretvica”, the “Evening of bećarac and ganga” was held in the organization of the SIN “Neretvica” Association. Nine original groups took part, performed by bećarac and ganga, followed by sevdalinka performers and humorist Ismet Horo.
“To our satisfaction, we had a very nice program. This is one of the most beautifully organized events we have had so far. We had a slightly smaller number of participants, i.e. performers of original folk songs, compared to previous years, but that did not diminish the importance of this event nor did it diminish the atmosphere. We had about 1,200 to 1,500 visitors, which is a significant number of visitors for these occasions,” Ibrahim Turak, coordinator of the event said

The goal of this manifestation is to preserve the original folk song from oblivion and perhaps encourage younger generations to love this part of our tradition because if this does not happen, the fate of the original folk songs will be uncertain, the organizers said.

The 24th Festival of Folklore Creation “Konjička sehara” was held in Konjic
Last night, as part of the manifestation “Konjic Summer”, the 24th International Folklore Festival “Konjička Sehara” was held, organized by Association “Preporod” Konjic, and under the auspices of the City of Konjic.
20 societies from BiH and seven visiting countries took part, which first presented themselves in a parade to the Konjic audience, and then with their choreographies on Partizan’s playground. With play and dancing, in the traditional costumes of the countries they come from, the participants showed a rich program, and their performances were accompanied by applause from the audience.

Mia Nikovska from Macedonia performed for the first time with her society at the “Konjička sehara”
“It was great and we had a great time. We would love to perform again. Honestly, we liked the city, and the audience is great,” – said this young Macedonian woman.

Fran Topalušić from folklore society “Sesvetska sela” from Croatia performed for the first time in Konjic, but his society participated several times at the Folklore Festival in Konjic.

“This is the fifth performance for our society. We really like it, there are a lot of people and this exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is great, we socialize and get to know people from other countries,” – said Topalušić.
Several societies from Bosnia and Herzegovina performed at the “Konjička sehara”. Members of the folklore society from Podveležje are regular participants every year. Ajla Halvadžija has been performing since she was four years old.
“I live through “Konjička Sehara”. Every summer, coming to this festival fills my heart. All praise for the organizers and the audience, which always gives us the strength to present our society as best as possible”, – said Halvadžija.
Folklore society “Preporod” Konjic performed with two groups. Eldin Boloban, leader of the youth and children’s ensemble, did not hide his satisfaction with the performance of his members, who managed to learn the choreography in a year and present themselves in the best light.
“I am under great emotion, because I managed to transfer my knowledge to our young people from Konjic. The children’s team worked for one year, and the youth team for two years. This is a great success for me and the children, and about a hundred members took part. We performed the games from Doboj” – Boloban said.
Amer Ćukas, the director of the festival, thanked the people of Konjic and everyone who made the “Konjic festival” bigger by coming tonight.
“We managed to successfully organize one more”Konjička sehara”. Thanks to the City of Konjic, the mayor, and especially the Konjic audience, because without them this festival would not be one of the most significant in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” – said Ćukas.

Skokovi u Kazan 2024 held in Konjic
On Saturday, 27th July, 2024. the 22nd International extreme diving competition “Skok u kazan 2024” was held on the city beach Stari Pazar in Konjic.
Dino Bajrić from Sarajevo, last year’s winner of the “Skok u kazan” competition, with a maximum of 30 points in both series, was the best this year as well (prize 1000 KM), second place was won by Igor Arsenić from Banja Luka (prize 800 KM), and the third place was Evald Krnić, Tuzi, Montenegro (prize 600 KM).

Expert juries made this decision after the competitors performed two series of jumps.
A total of 18 competitors from Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina took part, and 10 competitors made it to the second round.
Zenica’s Mustafa Šarić, although he qualified for the second series, did not perform due to an injury he sustained while performing the first jump. He was given medical attention, but he withdrew from the second performance.
“Skok u kazan” is a jump into the Neretva from a height of 16 meters into cauldron-shaped stone recess (kazan) that is two meters deep and wide, and is surrounded by rocks and requires great courage and dexterity from the jumper. The headlong “lasta” jump is performed.

An aggravating circumstance this year was the low water level of the Neretva River, so two jumpers gave up the competition.
This year, the organizer awarded special awards for the promotion of this international competition, which were given to jumpers Emir Cakić, Said Karalić, Dino Bajrić and Danko Dangubić, the mayor of Konjic Osman Ćatić and the chief judge of the competition Adnan Džumhur. Elmir Hadžialić presented the award on behalf of the organizers.

The 22nd international extreme diving “Skok u kazan 2024” was organized by the Triathlon and Pentathlon Association “Gorsko oko”, under the auspices of the City of Konjic, as part of the “Konjic Summer” and it contributes to the more attractive tourist offer of this city, which in recent years ranks as an increasingly popular tourist destination in our country.
Jumpers from Konjic also took part in the competition: Elvir Kovačević, Imran Bilanović and Deni Šahinović.
The president of the expert jury was Adnan Džumhur, and the jumpers were judged by Sanjin Džajić, Adnan Alagić, Said Karalić and Emir Cakić.
