Second ,,Green Lake Triathlon” held in Lisičići
On Saturday, the 2nd “Green Lake Triathlon 2024” was held in Lisičići, organized by the Triathlon Club “Feniks” from Sarajevo. About 80 competitors from six countries participated in the Olympic triathlon and sprint triathlon disciplines. The winner of the national championship in the Olympic triathlon is Belmin Godinjak from Sarajevo.
“I was going for victory and I successfully achieved that today. I swam one and a half kilometers, rode a bicycle 40 km and ran 10 km. The organization was excellent, the weather served us well and everything was excellent” – said Godinjak.
Second place in the national Olympic triathlon was won by Dragoslav Jotanović, and third by Samir Silajdžija.
The winner of the national championship in the Olympic triathlon for women is Emina Alagić from Sarajevo.
“It was great, because the conditions were fantastic. The water in the lake was warm, the only time it was hot was when we were running. This is the first time I have participated in the Olympic triathlon and I am satisfied,” – Alagić told us.
Deborah Leuthold won the second place.
The mayor of Konjic, Osman Ćatić, presented medals to the most successful competitors at the national triathlon championship. Congratulating them on the achieved results, he wished them to come to Konjic next year as well.
Jasmin Harbinja, president of TK “Fenix” and director of the race “Green Lake Triathlon” said that they were very satisfied with the competition.
“This is the second edition and we are already preparing for the third, next year. This field provides excellent conditions for the competition, there is a lake, the road is good, and I would like to thank the team from Lisičić, who arranged all this, because without them this could not have happened. See you on the same field in 2025,” said Harbinja.
Amar Borić, general secretary of the “Feniks” Triathlon Club, expressed satisfaction with the organization of the 2nd “Green Lake Triathlon” in Lisičići, which was held after a few years of break.
“The first “Green Lake Triathlon Cup” was held in 2019 and after five years we decided to organize this competition again. We gained the trust of the Triathlon Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so this year we have the national championship in the Olympic triathlon. The race was fast, everything went without a problem and I am very satisfied,” said Borić.
First place in the men’s sprint distance was won by Kemal Šahović, second by Ivo Ceko, and third by Haris Fazlić. In the women’s category, Anđela Talić took first place, Milena Mitić came second, and Ryna Aniech came third.
The second “Green Lake Triathlon 2024” was held as part of the “Konjic Summer” event.

The promotion of album ,,Sevdah del Alma”
Last night, in the courtyard of Zulfikar Zuka Džumhur’s birth house in Konjic, Alma Subašić held a concert, where she presented songs from the new album “Sevdah del Alma”.
Lovers of sevdah enjoyed listening to sevdalinka in Alma’s performance, accompanied by Mirza Redžepagić on guitar.
At the first joint performance, the two artists showed their virtuosity, which the audience rewarded with applause and choral singing.
“The concert was wonderful, I am very satisfied and I think everyone was satisfied. I had nice compliments and I’m happy. This with Mirza was a complete hit. I really fed my soul in my Konjic” – Alma said after the concert.
“On the new album “Sevdah del Alma”, translated as “sevdah from the soul”, there are ten sevdalinka songs that we have chosen in such a way that they are songs that are not performed enough nowadays and with new arrangements we revive them and return them to radio and TV stations, by screening videos, and I’m happy that the first concert promotion is in Konjic” – said Alma, who was born in Konjic.
“From this house, from this environment, I feel that some new stories are being born with Alma and Mirza in the future” – said Benjamin Mušinović, director of the National University of Konjic, which was the organizer of the “Sevdah Fest” concert as part of the Konjic summer, and under sponsored by the City of Konjic.
The third Jamboree of Scout Association of FBiH officially opened on Boračko Lake
The opening ceremony of the 3rd Jamboree of the Scout Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the slogan “Under the same roof” was held today at the location of the scout camps on Boračko Lake. 800 scouts aged 8 to 15 from 19 cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania.
At today’s ceremony, after the parade and the line-up of all the participants, the elder of the parade, Nermin Zagorčić, gave a speech.
“The message of the jamboree is socializing, establishing new friendships, spending time in nature and everything that scouts have in their plan and program, and we hope that in seven days we will be able to implement the planned. In addition to educational workshops and competitions, young scouts will visit two museums in Konjic including Tito’s bunker, and tonight, as part of the opening, there will be a rock concert” – Zagorčić said.
The jamboree, whose general sponsor is the City of Konjic, was opened by the mayor of Konjic, Osman Ćatić, who welcomed the scouts.
“I want you to feel good and take away fond memories from this jamboree. I congratulate the Scout Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on this beautiful event on Boračko Lake and I want to say that the City of Konjic will always be part of positive stories, as we are today” – were the words of the Mayor Ćatić.
Those present were also greeted by Boris Vujinović, president of the European Scout Committee.
“When I left Zagreb by car this morning at four o’clock, I couldn’t even imagine how nice it would be here when I arrived. There are so many of you Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts ready for this review. This Boracko Lake is incredible and this will be an incredible adventure. I am glad that for the past two years, we have been working on strengthening the cooperation between the associations in the region in Southeast Europe. All of this will lead to even better results and means that we will see each other more and more often in each subsequent opportunity. I wish you to spend the next seven days with a smile on your face, surrounded by friends, and remember this for the rest of your life” – Vujinović stated.
After the opening of the fair, the organizers of the guests, including the President of the HNC Assembly Džafer Alić, Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nihad Uk, representatives of the ZDC Government, arranged a tour of the camps and informed them about numerous activities that are carried out to improve the stay of scouts in their camps. Camps of detachments from Mostar were visited: Stari grad, Neretva and Radobolja, Zenica City Scout Association and Neretva Konjic, where lunch was prepared for the guests.
Haris Hadžizukič, the elder of the ,,Neretva” Konjic Scout troop, wished all the participants a pleasant stay.
“We want all the guests to enjoy themselves, and the citizens to follow what the scouts are doing on the lifelong skills of our members” – is the message of Hadžizukic.
Tamara Karlović, general secretary of the Croatian Scout Association, said that the first impressions were excellent and that they were positively surprised.
“There are about forty scouts here from Valpovo, Osijek, Karlovac, Kostrena and Rijeka. We return the hospitality, because scouts from Bosnia and Herzegovina were in Croatia three years ago. We have many friends here and we came to see how it is in Bosnia and Herzegovina” – said Tamara.
Sara Krajčevska from Skopje said that 50 scouts from North Macedonia were present at the jamboree.
“I’ve never been to Boračko Lake before and it’s beautiful, everything is great.” – Tamara stated.
Vilijam Lenhart from Kovačica, Serbia, is delighted to have arrived at Boračko Lake.
“It’s nice here, since we don’t have mountains in Vojvodina, only lowlands there. I really like that when you get into the water, you have a nice view, and we don’t have that” – said Vilijam
28th Swim Meeting ,,Suljo i Mujo 2024” was held
Yesterday in Lisičići, near Konjic, the 28th swimming meeting “Suljo and Mujo” was held. It brought together 50 swimmers from six clubs: “Galeb” Lukavac, “City Water Sports Club” Sarajevo, “Sharks” Sarajevo, “Aquafit” Sarajevo, “Freestyle” Sarajevo and “Lisičići” Konjic.
The organizer of the competition was the Sports Association “Lisičići” Konjic, as part of the Konjic Summer, under the auspices of the City of Konjic.
Competitors swam in the Jablanica Lake, firstly a half-marathon with a length of 750 meters, and then competitions were held in the disciplines of freestyle (50 and 100 meters) and dolphin (50 and 100 meters) in several age categories, from 10 years and older in men’s and female competition
The winner of the half marathon in her group was nine-year-old Aiša Huremović from “GK VS” Sarajevo, and her clubmate Aner Dizdarević is the winner of the half marathon in his category.
“It was tiring because you can’t see, it was difficult to navigate, but it was an interesting experience. The atmosphere is nice, the sun is shining, there are many people and that is our motivation, and this competition also brings new acquaintances” –Aiša stated.
“Usually we train together in other, longer disciplines. I go from medium to longer disciplines, as this was. The ending was dramatic, and I could hear the crowd cheering. I enjoy what I’m doing” – said Aner, adding that after the end of the competition, there will also be enjoyment with a barbecue.
Mensur Duraković stated that they are satisfied with this year’s competition.
“We were also in good luck with the weather, there were many competitors, we are all satisfied. A total of 20 races were held in the men’s and women’s categories. We continue cooperation with old clubs, and we also have new clubs from Sarajevo” Duraković pointed out.
State champion Esma Dizić from club “Aquafit” Sarajevo also performed in Lisičići.
„I’m state champion in disciplines of 100 meters dolphin and 400 meters crawl. I train twice a week and my desire is to be the best” – said a nine-year-old Esma.
On Friday, as part of the “Suljo and Mujo” swimming meet, athletic competitions for children up to 10 years of age were held, in which about forty competitors took part.

Swim meeting ,,Suljo & Mujo 2024”
In the organization of the Sports Association “Lisičići”-Konjic, and under the auspices of the City of Konjic, on Friday and Saturday, July 12 and 13, the event “Lisičići” 2024 will be held. As part of the event, the memorial swimming meet “Suljo and Mujo” will be organized ” in memory of the martyrs and fallen fighters of Lisičić, and the day before an athletics race for children in the length of 60 and 100 meters.
“Since 1996, we have had a certain part of the event the day before the swimming meet. On Friday at 7:30 p.m., the children’s race begins, followed by socializing with the guests and friends of the event,” Hamdo Lepara, deputy president of the sports association, told radiokonjic.ba.
The event will continue on Saturday with a Swim meeting at 11 a.m.
“Saturday at 11 a.m. is the start of the swimming competitions, and together with the Swimming Association and the clubs, we have decided that these will be the disciplines: freestyle 50 and 100 meters, dolphin 50 and 100 meters and a marathon with a length of 750 meters. These are swimming disciplines that are performed outdoors, on Lake Jablanica. There are no blocks, starts, or paths, swimming is done lengthwise. It is adapted to younger children, and the maximum age limit is 14 years, while older people can participate in the marathon” – said Mensur Duraković, secretary of the sports association.
“Regarding the clubs, applications are open until July 11 until 11 p.m., and individuals can apply by phone or e-mail, with the fact that they must sign a declaration that they are medically fit to compete, both athletics and swimming categories” – Duraković added
Cash prizes, diplomas and medals were provided in the swimming part of the competition, while diplomas and medals are provided for the children’s race.

6th ,,Konjic Summer Fest” ended
In the period from July 5th to 7th 2024. was held an international festival, Konjic Summer Fest, which traditionally ends the one-month event “Days of the City of Konjic”.
During the Konjic Summer Fest, 3 days are filled with fun, sports and music for all ages to enjoy.
The Garden City Business Run was held on the first day, and the day ended with Lana Hamza’s concert in Garden City starting at 8:30 p.m.
On the second day, the Grawe Kids Run race was held at 11:00 a.m., and from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Bingo Konjic Festival, the Ibis Relay Race and the BiH National Championship were held. To end this day, Emir Lapsus performed at the Garden City Hotel.
On the last day of the Festival, the MMU Puzijada was held at 06:30 p.m., and the Festival was officially closed at 07:30 p.m.
During the festival, participants had tours of Tito’s bunker, other museums, and rafting on the Neretva.

6th Konjic Summer Fest officially closed
In the period from 5.7 to 7.7.2024. Konjic Summer Fest was held, an international festival, which traditionally ends the one-month event “Days of the City of Konjic”.
During the Konjic Summer Fest, 3 days were filled with fun, sports and music so all ages were able to enjoy.
The Garden City Business Run was held on the first day, and the day ended with Lana Hamza’s concert in Garden City starting at 8:30 p.m.
On the second day, the Grawe Kids Run race was held at 11:00 a.m., and from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the 10k Konjic Bingo Race, the Ibis Relay Race and the BiH National Championship were held. To end this day, Emir Lapsus performed at the Garden City Hotel.
On the last day of the Festival, the MMU Puzijada was held at 18:30, and the Festival was officially closed at 19:30.
During the festival, participants had tours of Tito’s bunker and other museums, as well as rafting on the Neretva.

The “Feniks” triathlon club is organizing The Green Lake Triathlon, which will be held in Lisičići on July 21, 2024. starting at 09:00.
At the stadium in Lisičići, on July 20, from 17:00 to 20:00, there will be a collection of starting numbers, and at 20:00 an online briefing.

Konjic Summer Fest starts tomorrow
The 6th “Konjic Summer Fest” will be held in Konjic from July 5 to 7, organized by the “Pace” Konjic Athletic Club, under the auspices of the City of Konjic. Six races will be held, for which about 1,000 participants have registered, said Mahir Mujić, director of “Konjic Summer Fest”.
“Besides the Bingo Konjic race and the traditional children’s race, we have a business race on Friday at 6:30 p.m. that gathers around 250 participants, that is, 28 companies. After that, we have Lana Hamza’s concert in Garden City. The entrance is completely free and I invite all our citizens to come and have some fun and feel the charm of the festival. On Saturday at 11:00 a.m., we have the “GRAWE Kids Run”, a race for 200 little ones that is already full and starts from the City Market in Konjic. The central part of the event is at 7:30 p.m., where we have the “Equestrian Bingo Race” and the “Ibis Relay Race”, a male-female relay race and, for the first time in Konjic, the 10,000-meter state championship, where we have 20 of the best athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina who will fight for the national champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this discipline. After that, we have a performance by Emir Lapsus at the outdoor pool in Garden City. On Sunday, we are waiting for a crawl at 6:30 p.m., and 15 babies will fight for the best crawling baby in Konjic”, stated Mujić.
According to Mahir’s words, Konjic Summer Fest will also this year gather a large number of participants from entire region
“I can say that companies from the “TOP 100″ are coming to us, which we will present in the parade at 17:45. Then we have 400 participants in the 10k race called ”cener”, 100 participants in the relay, 250 participants in the business race, 200 participants in the children’s race, 15 babies in the crawling race and 20 participants in the national championship. The sponsor is the City of Konjic and I can say that I am proud of all the public institutions that supported us and I must mention our friends of the project who come from Dubrovnik, Serbia and Sarajevo to volunteer. This year we have two novelties, and that is that we have provided a bus that goes from Sarajevo to Konjic on Saturday completely free of charge, and then returns the runners to Sarajevo, and we plan to make this a tradition. We also introduced a novelty with accreditations, where we gave all participants in big races additional discounts in the city of Konjic”.
Mujić called on his fellow citizens to be patient and cooperate due to the short-term stoppage of traffic during the races, wishing that we would show ourselves as good hosts and accompany and support this project in as many numbers as possible.
This year, the following novelties await you at the Konjic Summer Fest:
- Accreditations have been introduced that are valid for all days of the festival (5th to 7th July 2024). With accreditation, participants will be able to use additional discounts at local partners.
- Free transportation to the top racing event – Konjic Summer Fest, in cooperation with the Konjic Trans company, is provided. The bus leaves on Saturday, July 6, in front of the National Museum at 2:00 p.m., stopping at the Otoka bus station and the Stup bus station. The return is scheduled for around 22:00.
